Increasing the various ‘OME’ projects makes most of scientists have lack of methods for their interpretation. AMGIN strive to develop MSN to support scientists for their huge data annotation. In order to exegesis of massive data, AMGIN compiles dictionaries of medical terms and genes’ name by extracting word from WEB etc. NLM in USA has many medical-terms thesaurus, but they don’t possess thesaurus of genes’ name.

First of all, AMGIN must collect gene’s name, ID and loci from main database like Gene and OMIM so that users will be able to query with genes’ name and/or functions. Then AMGIN will associate genes with their functions. Moreover the strong feature of this engine will enable two-term search despite neither do most bio-med WEB.

Target market is new drug-discovery and diagnosis support fields including education. At first AMGIN will sell search engine to pharmaceutical and academic areas. Finally AMGIN will develop Nintendo-DS tools for educational game or something to spread knowledge about cutting-edge medical services. This project will be really useful to breed bio-medical education up and lead HK to become the top country in the Bio-Medical field. That is why SERAP is worth investing in AMGIN in order to develop MSN.

AMGIN has Five Core Businesses on MSN

AMGIN will develop advanced search engine to support doctors and veterinarians for diagnoses  with EBM. Although EBM is getting necessary for medical fields, it is difficult to achieve it by only 1 doctor or veterinarian.  To do EMB needs a lot of data and interpreting interdisciplinary information is an important to diagnose. Moreover progressing high technology brings many benefits, while medical fields are getting segmentalized. This means every field needs deeply knowledge so that it is difficult to catch up on other areas. To their perplexities, missing data and/or misdiagnosis are easily proven. Therefore most of doctors/ veterinarians are eager for support system such as AMGIN Search Engine (ASE).

In addition, pharmaceutical R&D also has same problems because new equipments enable us to provide huge data at once. Annotation of these data needs extensive knowledge so that pharmaceutical R&D is also necessary for AMGIN system to save costs and time of R&D. ASE not only prevents researchers from missing data but also gives lacks of his/ her knowledge in other fields.

AMGIN just launched this project and will finish it in a year. AMGIN is looking for investment to accelerate  this project so that ASE will become a de-fact standard in medical fields. This is a great opportunity as well as worth to invest. AMGIN has already done pilot check and been ready to go.
